Bay Area-bred singer Janel Marisse is looking to make her mark on the R&B game as an alternative to any unnecessary trendiness.
“’Serve’ was one the songs that came really easy for me as the style and vibe it came very natural for me,” the EMPIRE-signed artist tells HipHopDX. “I got in the booth and freestyled the hook and it just felt right! as I was creating the hook I realized that it was my version Aaliyah’s ‘Rock the Boat’.”
