Rihanna, Bruno Mars, & Cardi B Among iHeartRadio Music Awards Nominees

Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and Cardi B score multiple nominations at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Scheduled to take place March 11 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the event is set to honor the year’s best in various genres and categories, like Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, Best Solo Breakout, and the inaugural Cutest Musician’s Pet.

The rap categories feature DJ Khaled, Drake, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Migos facing f for Hip-Hop Artist the Year, while 21 Savage, Cardi B, GoldLink, Lil Uzi Vert, and Playboi Carti duke it out for Best New Hip-Hop Artist.

On the R&B side, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, Khalid, Rihanna, and The Weeknd are up for R&B Artist the Year and Best New R&B Artist could go to 6LACK, Kehlani, Kevin Ross, Khalid, and SZA. Rapper Logic also makes an appearance in the Best New Pop Artist category, where he is up against Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan.

Hip-hop is also present in the night’s biggest categories, as DJ Khaled’s Rihanna and Bryson Tiller-assisted “Wild Thoughts” goes up against Bruno’s “That’s What I Like,” Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape You,” and The Chainsmokers and Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This.”

Rihanna is up for Female Artist the Year, along with Alessia Cara, Halsey, Pink, and Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd are battling Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, and Shawn Mendes for Male Artist the Year. Migos is in the Best Duo/Group category with Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, Portugal. The Man, and The Chainsmokers.

Fans will get to vote on a variety categories ahead the show, including Best Fan Army, Best Cover, and Best Remix. In a new twist, iHeartRadio will also present seven awards in seven nights, leading up to the big show on March 11. The awards will be presented and a speech will be given each night at 8 p.m.

The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards is set to air live on TBS, TNT, and truth at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on March 11.
