Jayson Tatum’s Nike Air Max 97 Collab Revealed: Details

The young Celtics star is getting his own non-basketball sneaker.

Jayson Tatum is one the most promising young stars on the Boston Celtics and has already gotten himself a deal with Nike. Tatum is one many young players, Kyle Kuzma included, who is rocking the futuristic Nike Adapt BB out on the court. Now, instead giving Tatum a signature shoe, Nike is giving the young star his very own Nike Air Max 97 collaboration.

Based on the initial photos courtesy the Instagram account @solebyjc, the shoes are meant to pay homage to his hometown St-Louis, Missouri. The colorway is inspired by the St-Louis Cardinals as red and black stripes wrap all the way around the upper. Meanwhile, drawings appear sketched throughout the midsole right above the Air Max unit.

There is no word yet on when these will be released, although now that we have some pictures, expect them to drop within the next few months. The summer is on the way so these could potentially be a great cop for the warmer months should they release in time for that.
