Future continues his prolific output.
After releasing his Monster mixtape to streaming services last month, the Atlanta rapper re-ups with a new single featuring Lil Durk. On “Last Name,” Hndrxx gets real about his rockstar lifestyle.
“Brokenhearted, fuck my bitch every night / I don’t know her name, she wanna have my child,” he raps. “Laughing to the bank, got me running wild / Numb to the pain, so I keep a smile.”
He also addresses his baby mama drama. A woman recently claimed that Future is the father her 3-month-old son. “Took my last name / This ain’t ’bout the child,” he raps. “Real classy jazzy, but don’t do no trolling / Gotta treat you like dead when when you playing bogus.”
But Durk urges him to keep cool. “See, Pluto you my brother gotta stay focused / Sometimes I get in my feelings too / I wish I wore a Trojan.”
It’s been a momentous year for Future. In January, he dropped his album The WIZRD, followed by his Save Me EP in June. He and Drake have also been teasing a potential What a Time to Be Alive sequel.
