Bella Hadid Denies Drake ‘Scorpion’ Lyrics Are About Her

Bella Hadid is putting the rumors to rest.

Fans zeroed in on the 21-year-old model as the possible woman Drake raps about on his new album Scorpion. “Should I do New York? / I can’t decide / Fashion week is more your thing than mine,” he raps on “Finesse.”

“You and your sister / Too hot to handle / Things would get canceled / I would make time for you,” he adds, which some took as a reference to Bella’s older sister Gigi.

Last year, it was rumored that Drake and Bella were seeing each other. Drake reportedly threw Bella a 21st birthday party in October in New York City. But the relationship apparently ended in November when Drake “ghosted her,” according to Us Weekly.

Now Hadid, who previously dated The Weeknd, is denying that she hooked up with Drake. According to her, the two are just friends.

“Not me!! that’s disrespectful,” she tweeted in response to a story about the lyrics in question. “WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation.”

While the Hadid rumors may not be true, Drake did confirm that he has a son on Scorpion. “She not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine,” he raps on “March 14.”
