Four days before XXXTENTACION was gunned down in what’s believed to be a “random robbery”, two his songs — “Changes” featuring PnB Rock and “SAD!” — were certified platinum by the RIAA.
Both tracks come from his last album, ?, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart following its March 2018 release.
PnB Rock penned an emotional tribute to his late collaborator on Instagram, alongside a video how “Changes” was made.
“Just found out me and bro went ‘Platinum’ wit this record… it’s not even the same tho because i didn’t get a feelin happiness when i heard but instead i just cried because we ain’t even get to share our moment together… So figured I’d share this video with y’all and share this moment with THE FANS & supporters ! to show y’all how we created it.”

The two rappers had collaborated on numerous tracks over the past couple years, including “Everyday We Lit.”
