Tory Lanez Reveals ‘Chixtape 5’ Release Date, Cover Art

Chixtape 5 is coming.

Tory Lanez has revealed a Nov. 15 release date for the highly-anticipated fifth installment in his Chixtape series. He first revealed the date to fans in a text before announcing it on social media.

He also unveiled the 2000s-themed cover art, which finds Ashanti laying on a bed while holding a T-Mobile Sidekick. In keeping with the vibe, Tory has been sharing photos himself dressed in throwback attire.

Chixtape 5 is set to feature Tory’s remix T-Pain’s “I’m Sprung,” as well as remakes songs from the early 2000s, with some surprise guests.

“2000 -2006 … I want to personally thank these 6 years for being the MAIN INSPIRATION to the SAMPLES and NOSTALGIA used on #Chixtape5,” said Tory. “I have never went this hard on the PRODUCTION any my albums .. really hope y’all enjoy what I have had the honor enjoying for the last 8 months.”

The Chixtape series pays homage to popular R&B classics from the ’90s and ’00s era. The first mixtape was released in 2011 and quickly become a fan favorite, paving the way for three more in 2014, 2015, and the latest, Chixtape 4, in 2017. Unlike his past releases, Chixtape 5 will be an ficial studio album.
