Toronto Rapper Houdini Shot Dead At 21

Rising Toronto rapper Houdini was shot and killed in his hometown.

Rising Toronto rapper Houdini, born Dimarjio Antonio Jenkins, was tragically shot and killed in the Entertainment District Downtown Toronto this week.

The artist had been attracting tons attention for his creative style, making friends with Tory Lanez, KILLY, and other major forces in his city. He was on pace to become the next big star to break out Toronto, unfortunately losing his life to senseless gun violence on his journey.

Within hours his death, social media messages started to pour in with support for Houdini’s family, including posts from Tory Lanez, Meek Mill, and others who were familiar with the rapper.

The shooting was reportedly targeted, according to Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders. He said that the suspect, while not yet identified, was in a blue vehicle and “deliberately” waited for 40 minutes for Houdini to arrive. Once he spotted the rapper, the suspect exited the vehicle, fired a gun, and left the scene.

Two other people were injured in the shooting — a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old woman. They are both expected to recover from their injuries.

A gun was reportedly collected at the scene the murder.

Rest in peace to Houdini. Send prayers to the rapper’s family and friends.
