Toni Braxton and Birdman just wanted some privacy.
Toni Braxton and Birdman never broke up but Toni recently admitted that the rumors they did split actually gave them some privacy. ET spoke to Toni Braxton at the season six premiere Braxton Family Values where she addressed the breakup rumors surrounding her and the Cash Money boss.

At the top the year, Birdman and Toni Braxton alluded to their split on Instagram but apparently, that was just a rumor that was fabricated on the Internet. “It’s over,” wrote Birdman on his Instagram Story. Braxton later shared a photo which she captioned, “Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice…but ALWAYS choose to be chosen.” Braxton explained that her and Birdman’s posts didn’t actually have any connection, saying she’s unsure where the rumor came from.
“We don’t know what happened,” Braxton said. “It just kind came out nowhere]. Someone said it and we were like, ‘OK, we’ll just ride with it because it’ll give us some privacy. So that’s good. But we’re good.”
Even throughout the period where people speculated they split up, Birdman was still showing her love. A few weeks after their cryptic IG posts, he surprised Toni in the middle her show. A week later, he posted a picture them with the caption, “4LiFE.”
