These Are The Top 10 Countries With The Fastest Internet


Speedtest reveals the top 10 countries with the fastest internet speeds.

Speedtest’s global index countries with the fastest fixed broadband and mobile data internet speeds was released in April 2020. The United States fell to number 11 this year, just missing the top 10. The list is now comprised Southeast Asian and European countries. 

  1. The leading country is Singapore (average download speed 198.46 Mbps, upload speed 207.17 Mbps, latency 12ms).
  2. Runner-up is Hong Kong (average download speed 176.70 Mbps, upload speed 172.96 Mbps, latency 15ms).
  3. Thailand, after placing 4th last year, progressed to 3rd place (average download speed 159.87 Mbps, upload speed 125.98 Mbps, latency 9ms).
  4. Switzerland came in 4th place (average download speed 152.05 Mbps, upload speed 97.88 Mbps, latency 14ms).
  5. Romania (average download speed 151.87 Mbps, upload speed 110.67 Mbps and a latency 13ms).
  6. Monaco (average download speed 140.10 Mbps, upload speed 79.29 Mbps, latency 28ms).
  7. Andorra placed 7th, an improvement by five spots (average download speed 139.66 Mbps, upload speed 148.94 Mbps, latency 7ms).
  8. Macau came in 8th (download speed 137.47 Mbps, upload speed 127.52 Mbps, latency 6ms).
  9. Sweden placed 9th (download speed 137.43 Mbps, upload speed 109.13 Mbps, latency 16ms). 
  10. Denmark concludes the top 10 (average download speed 136.44 Mbps, upload speed 105.46, latency 13ms).

Macaus, Sweden, and Denmark retained their 2019 spots on the list.
