The Undertaker Makes Unexpected Return To Raw After Wrestlemania 35

The Deadman returns to Raw, buries Elias.

WWE always has a few special matches and surprise appearances planned for the Monday Night Raw immediately following Wrestlemania, and last night’s taping at Barclays Center in Brooklyn was no different.

One night removed from Wrestlemania 35, The Undertaker made his unexpected return and he wasted little time delivering his patented choke slam, followed by a Tombstone.

The victim: Elias.

Until last night, The Undertaker hadn’t been on WWE television since November 2018, when he and Kane lost to Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the main event WWE’s controversial “Crown Jewel” event in Saudi Arabia. There have been reports that The Deadman will once again be featured when the WWE returns to Saudi Arabia on May 3, and his encounter with Elias could very well set up a match between the two at that event.

Last night’s beat down marked the second straight night that Elias had his musical performance interrupted by a WWE legend. His Wrestlemania 35 segment was cut short when a returning John Cena showed up as the Dr. Thuganomics.

Similar to the situation with Taker, Cena laid waste to Elias in a matter minutes.
