Steve Kerr Opens Press Conference By Flopping, Asking For A Foul Call: Video


Kerr kicks f today’s media availability by trolling Rockets.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr met with members the media this afternoon – and course he was asked about the ficiating in Game 1 their series against the Houston Rockets. 

But before any reporters could even get f a question, Kerr opened his press conference by flopping on a reporter and asking for a foul.

After doing his best James Harden impression, Kerr discussed the complaints coming from Harden and other members the Rockets regarding how Game 1 was called on Sunday afternoon.

“It’s disappointing because the focus should be on two teams that played extremely hard. We watched the tape, both teams just got after it and competed… But, you know we just watched the tape upstairs. You don’t think there were 10 calls that we though we got fouled? I mean, this is how it goes and every coach in the league will tell you the same thing.” 

Kerr continued, “In the modern game, a lot players have gotten really good at deception, creating contact and, you know, I don’t remember people falling down on three-point shots all the time when I played.”

The league’s two-minute report revealed that ficials made three incorrect calls that benefitted Golden State down the stretch on Sunday – but the no-call on James Harden’s final three-point attempt was deemed to be the correct decision. 

Game 2 between the Rockets and Warriors is scheduled to tipf on Tuesday night at 10:30pm ET.
