He should have seen it coming.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would know that Tiger Woods defied all the odds and won his fifth Masters tournament on Sunday. With a plethora injuries that have plagued him for the last 12 years, many believed Tiger was done for the count but he proved everybody wrong with his big win. There was a whole slew athletes who swooped in to give Woods their congratulations. One those athletes was none other than Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry. Curry took to Twitter to say: “Greatest comeback story in sports! Congrats @TigerWoods Let me hold one those 5 jackets one time!”
Unfortunately for Curry, he was on the receiving end one the best comebacks in sports history and the undefeated users Twitter, let him know about it. Of course, you probably remember the 2016 NBA playfs when the Cleveland Cavaliers were down three games to one against the Warriors, who finished with a record 73-9 – the best record all-time. The Cavs ultimately came back in that series and the “Warriors blew a 3-1 lead” meme was born.
