Snoop Dogg’s ‘Bible of Love’ Tops Gospel Albums Chart

Twenty-five years into a legendary career, Snoop Dogg earns a significant first. Da Doggfather has received his first No. 1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart with Bible Love.

Snoop appeared in and curated the 32-song double album, which also features Charlie Wilson, Faith Evans, K-Ci, Kim Burrell, The Clark Sisters, Daz Dillinger, Jazze Pha, and more.

The D-O-Double-G also earned another milestone with Bible Love. Coming in at No. 148 on the Billboard 200, the album marks his 25th entry on the albums chart. He also has three No. 1s.

Bible Love is also taking over the Hot Gospel Songs chart. Featuring Tye Tribbett, “You” appears at No. 20. Snoop’s Faith Evans and 3rd Generation collaboration “Saved” comes in at No. 24 and “Blessing Me Again” (with Rance Allen) pops up at No. 25.

The album may have come as a surprise, but Snoop says it’s a long time coming. “It’s always been on my heart,” he said. “I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that. I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long and] I need to do it now.”
