Russell Westbrook, Draymond Green Voted "Most Overrated" In NBA Players Poll


Westbrook and Draymond split the “most overrated player” vote, according to The Athletic.

Oklahoma City Thunder All Star point guard Russell Westbrook is on pace to average a triple-double for the third consecutive season this year, but some NBA players still feel he is the most overrated guy in the league, along with Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

The Athletic recently polled a quarter the NBA’s active roster on a number topics – including who are the most overrated and underrated players. According to the results, only 47 players answered the question most overrated, so it’s a small sample size, but Westbrook and Green each took home 17% the vote.

The responses include:

1. Draymond Green, Russell Westbrook (17%)

T-3. Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns (6.3%)

T-6. James Harden, Ben Simmons, LeBron James, Kyle Lowry (4.2%)

T-10. Semi Ojeleye, Kyrie Irving, Brook Lopez, Myles Turner, Luka Doncic, Hassan Whiteside, John Collins, Lonzo Ball, C.J. McCollum, Nikola Jokic, DeMarcus Cousins, Paul Millsap, Klay Thompson, Jayson Tatum (2.1%)

When it came to the question  the most underrated players in the NBA, 116 players voted. New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday was the top player selected with 16.3% the vote, followed by Portland’s Damian Lillard and Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton with 6.8% the vote each.

Other questions asked included who should be crowned NBA MVP, and where Kevin Durant will be playing in the 2019-20 season.
