Rockets Claim Referees Robbed Them Of An NBA Title In 2018

The Rockets say 81 calls were missed in game 7 against the Warriors

After losing by just four points to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, the Houston Rockets have been doing a whole lot complaining about the referees. Yesterday, we reported that the Rockets were putting a document together detailing how the Warriors are given special privileges from the referees. This came in relation to a supposed foul on James Harden at the end Game 1 that wasn’t called.

Instead keeping the report to Sunday’s game, the Rockets decided to get extra petty and make a report detailing all the supposed missed calls from when the Rockets lost to the Warriors in Game 7 the Western Conference finals last year. According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe and Rachel Nichols, the Rockets believe there were 81 missed calls in the game that cost the Rockets 18.6 points.

“Referees likely changed the eventual NBA champion,” said a Rockets memo to the league. “There can be no worse result for the NBA.”

The idea that the Rockets were robbed on an NBA Title can be seen as a bit stretch considering the team missed 27 straight three-pointers in that crucial Game 7.

Houston has been receiving some criticism for their dissection  the referees with Chris Paul being fined $35K for making contact with an ficial at the end the match on Sunday.
