Reginae Carter Shares Trailer For Acting Debut In "Pride & Prejudice" Remake


Reginae Carter’s first feature film has arrived.

Reginae Carter has been very vocal in the past about her plans to pursue acting seriously. When she announced that she was cast in the Pride and Prejudice Lifetime remake, an all-Black contemporary version the Jane Austen novel, she was elated and proud her first feature film debut. Now just five months later, after hard work and dedication, the first trailer for Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta has arrived.

In the clip below you can see the modernized, Atlanta version a mother who works hard to get her five single daughters hooked with a man. “In a contemporary adaptation the Jane Austen classic, “Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta” follows Reverend Bennet, a pastor a prominent southern Baptist church and his wife Mrs. Bennet, who is the author a self-help book on how to find the perfect husband,” the ficial synopsis reads. “Needless to say, Mrs. Bennet is less than thrilled that all five their daughters, Lizzie, Jane , Mary, Lydia and Kitty are still single. When the very eligible Will Darcy arrives in town, Mrs. Bennet sets her sights on the handsome bachelor for daughter Lizzie, leading to a modern-day, comedic take on themes familiar to fans the novel.”
