On Tuesday, P. Diddy posted a video speaking gravely about the state The Culture and the rap game. The video doesn’t include any type radical take on the situation at hand, but rather a reiteration a sentiment that has been expressed by many, but is ten drowned out in the clamor that permeates hip-hop.
The video is composed multiple clips strung together, presumably because the difficulty capturing a fully developed message in one take on such a nuanced subject matter. The video has been posted to both P. Diddy’s account as well as theshaderoom’s account, each with slight differences. The most significant these slight differences would probably be the fact that P. Diddy has added a clip to the beginning his video in which he says “so many people rapping right now… I love it, I love it.”
