Nipsey Hussle’s ‘Victory Lap’ Returns to Billboard 200

The Marathon continues.

A week after he was shot and killed, Nipsey Hussle’s debut album Victory Lap re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 2. The project earned 66,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending April 4, with 17,000 that sum in album sales.

It marks a new peak for the Grammy-nominated album, which debuted at No. 4 in March 2018. Additionally, four Nipsey’s mixtapes also charted on this week’s Billboard 200. 2013’s Crenshaw enters at No. 63 (11,000), 2016’s Slauson Boy 2 bows at No. 109 (8,000), 2010’s The Marathon enters at No. 179 (6,000), and 2014’s Mailbox Money debuts at No. 192 (6,000).

Coming in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 is Billie Eilish, whose latest album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? moved 313,000 equivalent album units (170,000 in album sales). She earns the second-largest week 2019 for any album.

Elsewhere, Juice WRLD’s former No. 1 Death Race for Love dips 3-5 (44,000 units), while last week’s chart-topper, NAV’s Bad Habits, drops 1-6 in its second week (35,000).

Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys rises 8-7 (32,000), A Boogie Wit da Hoodie’s Hoodie SZN slides 7-9 (30,000), and Drake’s Scorpion returns to the top 10 (29,000).
