Nick Cannon Drops Third Eminem Diss ‘Canceled: Invitation’

It ain’t over.

After holding out for a response from Eminem, Nick Cannon takes more shots at Slim Shady on his third diss track “Canceled: Invitation,” which pulls interview soundbites and audio from Em’s past including the diss that started their feud, 2009’s “Bagpipes from Baghdad,” where Em dissed Mariah Carey (“Nick Cannon, I wish you luck with the fucking whore”).

“You’ve been disrespecting our queens for years,” says Nick before playing Eminem’s controversial track from 25 years ago, which contains racist lyrics including “Black girls are bitches / Black girls are dumb.” The song was leaked by the editors The Source in 2003 and prompted an apology from Em.

Nick takes Em to task for his racist rhetoric. “We let you be a guest in this house, but now you canceled, Slim,” he raps. “Our queens don’t need your racism / You the KKK this generation.”

He goes on to compare him to Christopher Columbus (“Hip-hop wish you discovered”) and alleges that the Detroit rapper treated his crew like “indigenous slaves” at the VMAs.

“I do it for the culture,” says Nick while naming civil rights leaders including Rosa Parks and Coretta Scott King. “I’ma slay you for my sisters.”

He ends by rescinding his fer to battle Em on “Wild ‘N Out.” “Marshall, I tried to give you an invitation. Now the invitation’s canceled.”

“Canceled” follows Nick’s other diss tracks, the Suge Knight-assisted “The Invitation” and “Pray for Him.” Em reignited the decade-old feud with his diss on Fat Joe’s “Lord Above.”
