“I’m pretty late on everything.”
Nav‘s constantly getting clowned on the Internet but that may have actually aided the success his latest album, Bad Habits which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. A fake transcript an interview surfaced where the rapper detailed his allergy to pretzels and its effect on his relationship with Drake and The Weeknd.
“Drake always fers me pretzels], and what am I supposed to do? I’m not gonna deny a pretzel from Drake. So I eat the shit, and ten minutes later, I tell them I gotta go but in reality, I’m not going home. I’m going to the ER to get my stomach pumped. BUt they think my body can handle pretzels and that’s what matters.”
The fake interview bit circulated through Twitter, Instagram, and several publications but Nav didn’t respond to it. Many were convinced that it was possible at first based on his previous comments about TMZ-level fame to Pitchfork.
“I’m pretty late on everything. But, I thought it was funny. It was a fake story, right?” He told Complex in response to the meme. “Honestly, I have a good sense humor. I don’t take this shit personal, ever… I just laugh at shit.”

Despite being frequently meme’d and clowned on social media, Nav takes on the “no such thing as bad publicity” mindset when it comes to these type things.
“Fuck, I’m just happy to be here, bro. I never take nothing serious. I’d rather them be making fun me. I’d rather have a meme me with fucking 300 million likes on it, and everybody laughing, than have nobody saying anything. Because, shit, that shit gets you paid, right?”
