Michael Irvin Announces He Is Cancer-Free: "Thank You God"

Irvin was very scared his potential diagnosis last week.

Michael Irvin is a certifiable Dallas Cowboys legend and just last week, the former wide receiver was scared for his life as he admitted himself into the hospital to be tested for throat cancer. Fortunately for Irvin, he was given a clean bill health and announced the news Instagram on Sunday morning. The former Cowboy is known for his extremely positive personality and fans were pulling for some equally positive news for someone they’ve looked up to for quite some time.

“Thank you God for continuing to answer Prayers and Thank you ALL for Praying. I spoke with Dr St John at UCLA Medical and she has informed me that all test have come back 100!% clean,” Irvin wrote. “NO CANCER!!!!!! It is impossible to express my family and my appreciation for the overwhelming out pour love, support and prayers. I was on my threshing floor dealing with the stronghold fear. You all covered and encourage me.”

Last week, Irvin’s tone was a lot more somber as he explained “I AM TERRIFIED!! My Faith tells me whenever you face great fear you go to your greatness power. Mine is God. I am asking all who will. Could you please send up a prayer to help my family and I deal with whatever the results may be?”

We’re just happy that Irvin is healthy and can continue being his animated, positive self.
