Madame Tussauds Unveils Drake Wax Figure

Drake is being immortalized in wax.

On Wednesday (June 19), Madame Tussauds Las Vegas unveiled a wax figure the 6 God. The figure, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the actual star, is part the museum’s interactive experience that replicates his famed “Hotline Bling” music video. The wax Drizzy dons a gray OVO sweatshirt, gold Rolex, jeans, and Timberlands on the colorfully-lit set, inspired by James Turrell.

“This experience, à la artist James Turrell, creates a hypnotizing visual spatial illusion with its dynamic color sequences, and heart pumping beats,” reads a message on Madame Tussauds’ website. “You will be able to create their very own, Insta-worthy videos alongside Champagne Papi himself…trust us, it’s all in God’s Plan.”

Speaking with Billboard, studio manager Adam Morey explained how Madame Tussauds decided on which Drake they wanted to replicate. “Fortunately, the viral internet sensation one his most iconic music videos was the driving design factor for the look and feel the Drake figure and set at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas,” said Morey.

Drake is the latest celebrity to get the wax treatment from Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, which also houses statues The Notorious B.I.G., Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears.

The Drake exhibit is now open to the public, while the real Drake can be seen at his Las Vegas residency at XS Nightclub at the Wynn resort and casino.
