Lil Uzi Vert Says He’s Done with New Album

The wait for Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake may finally be over.

During his performance at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami on Sunday (May 12), the Philadelphia rapper informed fans that he just completed the long-awaited project.

“I ain’t gonna lie, the other night, I finished the last song to the album,” he told the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium ( XXL). “So y’all ready for this motherfu**in’ album?” he asked as the crowd erupted in cheers.

“OK, bye,” said Uzi before dropping the mic and walking f stage.

In April, Uzi dropped a pair singles, “That’s a Rack” and “Sanguine Paradise.” Prior to that, he released his “Free Uzi” track and signed a new management deal with Roc Nation.

Uzi’s t-delayed sophomore album, the follow-up to 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2, has been a long time coming. In January, he announced that he was quitting music following issues with his label Generation Now.

In response to the “Free Uzi” movement, his Generation Now label bosses DJ Drama and Don Cannon gave Uzi their blessing to release Eternal Atake. “Uzi should put out EA out tomorrow or any day he wants,” Drama said in March. “He has me & Cannon’s total support and blessings to drop it!”
