LeBron James "Made Raspberry Sound" When Asked Of Lakers’ Roster Construction

LeBron wasn’t a huge fan the Lakers’ roster construction heading into this season.

Year 1 the LeBron James-Los Angeles Lakers era didn’t go nearly as well as everyone involved would have liked.

LeBron missed more games due to injury than in any other season in his 16-year NBA career, and the team just never seemed to put it all together. Injuries to Lonzo Ball and others certainly contributed to the Lakers’ struggles, as did the team’s overall roster construction.

According to ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin, LeBron had a noteworthy reaction when asked about the latter.

In regards to the Lakers front fice “prioritizing playmaking over shooting,” McMenamin reports the following (H/T Bleacher Report):

“‘That experiment?’ James said the roster construction for his first season in L.A.

“James stared out onto the court for a moment, turned his attention back to the conversation, pursed his lips and stuck out his tongue as he trumpeted air out his mouth, making a raspberry sound.”

“THBPBPTHPT!”

The Lakers 2018-19 season will ficially come to an end on April 9, after they host the Portland Trail Blazers in the regular season finale. It marks the first time LeBron won’t be competing in the post-season since the 2004-05 campaign.

The team figures to look much different by the time the 2019-20 season rolls around, and LeBron has already vowed to right the ship.
