Kid Cudi Says He’ll Drop New Music In 2020: "I Don’t Drop Albums Every Year Anymore"

Kid Cudi says he’s in no rush to release any new music this year.

The icon that is Kid Cudi, took to Twitter today to update fans about his plans on releasing new music, explaining that he is “in no rush to do anything right now.” The rapper appeared as part this year’s Rolling Loud Lineup, which he followed up by honoring Miami with a four-piece exclusive merch collection in collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market. The pieces are based on his last full-length studio album, his 2016 Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’

As well as this fashion collaboration, Cudi also recently announced his upcoming collaboration with Adidas. As well as this, the rapper announced last month that he would be joining the cast  the opioid crisis film “Dreamland”; and, despite having not released new music in a hot minute, he still graced the stages the Coachella festival, and is set to appear as part the 2019 HARD Summer Festival lineup.

All these projects can provide justification as to why Cudi says he “gotta give myself time to do other things,” since he really does seem to be involving himself in a plethora creative projects outside music. Besides, it’s not like the artist doesn’t produce anything in terms music, he did, after all, collaborate with Kanye on their Kids See Ghost album last summer.

He did (in a way) confirm that he would be dropping an album next year though, and I think we can all say that we’ll definitely be on the lookout for it.
