As we’ve reported, many Smollett’s Empire co-stars can’t wait for his return, but the actor remains written out the final episodes this season.
Public opinion regarding the outcome the case is divided. Supporters believe that Smollett is the victim not only a physical assault but being railroaded by the Chicago Police Department. Unbelievers who criticize Smollett’s account his attack still state that he orchestrated this hoax in hopes furthering his visibility and career.
According to TMZ, Smollett’s career is at a standstill, if not on the decline, due to the controversy surrounding the actor within the last few months. The report that he’s ordering his team to work on his public image and likability so that the potential being cast in the future increases. The publication states that no matter what, Smollett claims he is sticking to his truth and will never dete from his account the attack—the same story he’s told since the beginning the scandal.
It’s also reported that it isn’t his intention to stay away from interviews and appearances, as he desires to connect with the larger audience in an effort to share his story.
