Juice WRLD Allegedly Popped Pills, Had 70 Pounds of Marijuana on Plane

More details are emerging in Juice WRLD’s tragic death.

The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, popped “several unknown pills” before he suffered a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport on Sunday, according to a report from TMZ. Shortly after arriving on a private flight from California around 1 a.m., he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Law enforcement sources say that 70 pounds marijuana was found stashed in luggage on board the plane. The FBI confiscated the bags weed from several suitcases.

A bottle codeine cough syrup was also allegedly found on the aircraft. One Juice’s associates told authorities that the “Lucid Dreams” rapper had a Percocet problem.

It’s unclear if the drugs played a role in his death. No cause death has been determined. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office is scheduled to conduct an autopsy on Monday.

In July, Juice WRLD told his girlfriend, Ally Lotti, that he was quitting codeine. “Bae I’m sorry I be tweaking, you’ve put up with more than ppl know I know I be scaring you, fuck Codeine I’m done,” he tweeted. “I love you and im letting it be known publicly that ain’t shit fucking up the real love I found. Learn from this everyone. Addiction kills all but you can overcome.”

Two men, Chris Long and Henry Dean, have been arrested for possession handguns after cops recovered three guns. Dean was released without bail, and Long is out on $1,500 bond.
