Josh Rosen Receives Standing Ovation From Cardinals Fans After Trade

Rosen’s time with the Cardinals was very short.

Josh Rosen was taken in the first round the NFL Draft back in 2018 by the Arizona Cardinals. In his first season in the league, Rosen led the team to a 3-13 record which didn’t inspire much confidence in the organization. With the first pick in the 2019 draft, the Cardinals selected quarterback Kyler Murray, which pretty much spelled the end Rosen’s career in Arizona. Just a couple day later, Rosen was traded to the Miami Dolphins where he will battle with Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting job.

Before leaving for Miami, Rosen gave Cardinals fans one last send-f at Larry Fitzgerald’s celebrity stball game. Rosen took part in the home run derby and hit a couple dingers out the park which the crowd seemed to appreciate. The Dolphins QB ended up winning the derby and also got MVP honors at the game.

Afterward, the crowd gave him a standing ovation, with Rosen addressing the crowd about his move to the sunshine state.

“I just want to say thank you to everybody,” Rosen said. “We didn’t win as many games as I would have hoped, but I had a great time and an unbelievable year. I’ll always be a Cardinal and root for you guys for as long as I’m on my feet.”

It’s good to see that Rosen is taking this all in stride.
