Joe Budden Responds to Leaked Eminem Diss Track

Eminem and Joe Budden’s feud is back in the headlines.

Over the weekend, an alternate version Conway the Machine and Eminem’s collaboration “Bang” leaked on which Em can be heard dissing the former Slaughterhouse MC along with Diddy’s network REVOLT.

“Yeah, shout to Puffy Combs, but f**k REVOLT / Y’all are like a fu**ed up remote, now I get it why our button’s Budden’s] broke,” he raps.

Slim Shady also references Budden’s infamous altercation with Migos: “Tell this journalist to stick to the stuff he knows / Like always running from Migos.”

After hearing his diss, Budden addressed the leaked track on the latest episode his “Joe Budden Podcast.” But instead clapping back, he chose to keep the peace and fer a “mature” response.

“Listen, I was 100 percent prepared to come on here and scream on Eminem’s manager] Paul Rosenberg] cause I thought Paul leaked this,” he said, according to HotNewHipHop. “I was prepared to come on here and tell Paul and Em to read the room. Now’s not the time for all that. But this is an old verse. Mal is right, you don’t get fended by old verses. And two, I don’t think anybody’s on that right now. I don’t think Em is on that, I don’t think my Slaughterhouse brothers is on that. I don’t think anybody is on that side right this second. I feel safe speaking on that, I won’t tell you why I feel safe speaking on that but I do.”

Budden didn’t feel it was an appropriate time to give his energy to something so tril given the current state the world. “That’s not really where the focus is right now,” he continued. “That’s not where our concern is, or where it should be. It’s way too much important shit going on right now. Even if I was going to come in here and start screaming, I’m not rapping so that’s not fun. Nothing about this is fun.”

He went on to call for unity while applauding Em’s verse. “It’s more power in the unity. I’m going to assume we were taking some baby steps to try to reach unity with some the behind-the-scenes conversations that were taking place. So, nah, this is not 35-year-old Joe that’s going to come and f**k everything up ’cause I’m mad about some old shit. I’m going to be mature–I’m 40. Great verse!”

The two have had their issues in the past. Earlier this year, Eminem dissed Budden on “Lock It Up” f his latest album Music To Be Murdered By. But Joe said he was done with the beef. “We had our exchange and it’s over. In 2020, I can’t harbor negativity toward not only one the best rappers but somebody who I’m not angry at. That’s what we gotta stop doing,” he said.

Elsewhere on the leaked version “Bang,” Em shouted out the late Mac Miller while once again dissing Machine Gun Kelly: “And f**k that little blonde bitch too / RIP Mac Miller.”
