"It's Either Me or You" Troy Ave Called a Snitch for Plans to Testify Against Taxstone

Troy Ave might have snitched on himself for snitching.

In his new song “2 Legit 2 Quit,” the rapper seems to indicate that he’s going to testify against Taxstone when the former podcast host goes to trial over the Irving Plaza shooting. The shootout, which occured in May 2016, left several people (Troy included) injured and one man dead. The gunshots erupted in the VIP section a T.I. concert at the New York venue and when the dust cleared, Taxstone was charged with murdering his former bodyguard.

On the new song, it seems like Troy is saying that he’s going to tell what happened that night and point the finger squarely at Taxstone.

“I’m only loyal to my fam,” he raps. “Middle finger from the stand / It’s either me or it’s you.”

That last bit makes quite a bit sense. Troy Ave was originally charged with attempted murder in relation to the shooting. Ave was seen firing a weapon in videos from the incident and was charged with attempted murder. However, he pleaded not guilty and was able to avoid a murder charge but is still facing several felonies. Last year, he said that the video doesn’t tell the whole story in an interview with Fox5NY.

“I’ll just say that video doesn’t show everything that’s going on and I would love to talk to you more about it but I’m facing a serious case,” he said. “Like, my freedom is on the line. I could go to jail for 20 years.”
