Chris was arrested after he shot and killed a man at a gas station in Louisiana. Police said that Chris had told them that he shot the man over speculation that the victim was attempting to rob his vehicle. After reviewing the footage, they deemed the Chris was not acting in self-defense. The detectives said that the security footage “showed that Dooley did not act in self-defense.” Additionally, the police said that the vehicle he was driving in was reported stolen. He ultimately had to pay an additional $10K bond on top the $500K.

The victim died at the Ochsner LSU Health hospital later after suffering multiple bullet wounds.

“The prayers Mr. Dooley are with the family the deceased as well as his own family at this time. He is confident that at the end a thorough and just investigation this incident, his name will be cleared,” Hurricane Chris’ attorney said.
