Gunna Announces ‘Wunna’ Release Date

Gunna has put a date on it.

After much anticipation, the Atlanta rapper has announced a release date for his sophomore album Wunna. The project was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but will now arrive May 22.

Along with the announcement, Gunna shared a teaser for a Spike Jordan-directed short film, which documents the making the album and was shot in Montego Bay, Jamaica. In the 90-second clip, Gunna can be seen in the studio with producers including Wheezy, Turbo, and Keyz.

In March, Gunna dropped f the first single “Skybox.” He also remains one hip-hop’s most in-demand features, collaborating with everyone from Camila Cabello to Nav. Last month, he released the Young Thug-assisted “Quarantine Clean” to hold fans over until the album drops.

Wunna follows Gunna’s debut album Drip or Drown 2, which was released in February 2019 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
