Finally! Birdman Drops MAJOR News About 'Tha Carter V'

Birdman says that Lil Wayne’s long-awaited fifth album Tha Carter V will drop sometime this year. The embattled mogul who has spent the last few years feuding with his former protege both in and out a courtroom said that Wayne’s delayed project will see the light in a new interview with Rap-Up.

Although Lil Wayne is currently suing the mogul for failure to pay him $51 million in royalties, Birdman fully admitted that a huge chunk his success came Lil Wayne.

“He is the best ever to me,” he said. “A lot success comes from under his umbrella.”
He went on to say that the album that has been held in limbo by their ongoing beef is coming soon.

“I think it’s gonna be the biggest album 2018, one them. Without a doubt. It’s gonna be well worth the wait,” he said.

He went on to compare Wayne to Tupac, an interesting position for someone who has been feuding with the rapper for quite a while. But maybe that’s just a way saying that Weezy’s once-in-a-lifetime talent is so undeniable that even people who would have reason to hate can’t bring themselves to.

“You only have one Wayne and you only have one Tupac,” he said. “Tupac had 100 songs, before that we never knew that s**t. Wayne had 100 features. That s**t is not normal in our business today. A n**ga might not want to hear two features from your a**. Let alone 100. Wayne had 100 No. 1s.”
