Baton Rouge’s Marcel P. Black will be releasing his new album In Search Of The Black Messiah on October 15. To begin the LP’s rollout, the veteran MC has dropped the lead single “Black God Fresh” featuring Big Sant with production by Backpack Beatz.
“The song is about the revolutionary act engaging in Black Joy & self-care without sacrificing awareness what’s going on in the world,” Black tells HipHopDX. “It is a point in the album where I let my hair down from the seriousness the album and have fun while still being an adult.”
