#DXCLUSIVE: Asian Da Brat & DÁVIDEBĒDÁVID Take Over Japan In "KYOTO KUSH" Video

HipHopDX Premiere – Although it might look like you’re watching some kind animé acid trip, Asian Da Brat and designer/sometimes rapper DÁVIDEBĒNDÁVID’s new video for “KYOTO KUSH” simply puts the animation tools they had at their disposal to good use, lending the colorful affair a psychedelic vibe.

Shot in Kyoto, Japan, the appropriately titled visual finds both artists strolling through the streets while immersed in a strange video game world.

“I wanted sumo wrestlers and dancing geishas,” DÁVIDEBĒDÁVID tells HipHopDX. “Dreams come true in this film that merges fashion, music and a deep imagination bringing an idea to life. Filming ‘Kyoto Kush’ with Asian Doll in Japan, the home animation, was better than any drug.”

Asian Da Brat and DÁVIDEBĒDÁVID (or David Ben David) first met at the Sprayground fice after connecting on Instagram to discuss a fashion photo shoot in Asia.

Out that meeting, “KYOTO KUSH” was born, DBD’s first collaboration track and Asian Da Brat’s first fashion and music collaboration.
