Draymond Green Laughs At James Harden For Wanting A "Fair Shot"

Harden felt as though he was being fouled all game long.

We’ve made it to the second round the NBA playfs and the Houston Rockets are taking on the Golden State Warriors in what should be a spirited rematch last year’s Western Conference Finals. This time around, the teams are meeting in the second-round and in game 1, the Warriors won 104-100. It was a back and forth game which saw Steph Curry score a game-winning dagger despite having a poor game overall. The biggest story though came courtesy James Harden and the ficials. Harden had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer, although Draymond Green ended up making contact with Harden on the shot. The reigning MVP felt as though it should have been a foul, but nothing was called.

“I mean, I just want a fair chance, man,” Harden said according to ESPN. “Call the game how it’s supposed to be called, and that’s it. And I’ll live with the results.”

Green was asked about Harden’s comments after the game and pretty well laughed him out the building. For Draymond, ficials aren’t always consistent, so it’s disingenuous to start blaming them on the loss.

“I’ve been fouled by James on a James 3-pointer before,” Green said. “No, I ain’t going with that one. I think we can all sit here and complain about calls after every game. That’s just the nature the game we play. Refereeing is an inexact science. So it is what it is.”

Game 2 will go down on Tuesday night at 10:30 P.M. EST.
