Desus & Mero show the model stays sturdy on “Sizzling Ones.”
At this time, interview sequence Sizzling Ones continues its glorious season, bringing Desus and Mero into the fold. The pair are in superb type as they take care of growing Scovilles and the light gaze Sean Evans, fielding questions and doling out witty critiques in signature style.
Across the seven minute mark, Sean Evans wastes little time in placing the Bodega Boys on the spot, inquiring about their prior line reasoning that “J. Cole is trash.” The subject prompts a maniacal snigger from Mero. “He has dreads now, so he is woke,” jokes Mero. “We will not say he is trash.” Desus elaborates, stating “we nonetheless Bronx scumbags, so I am probably not listening to woke music. I am listening to music that is most likely bringing down black individuals. I gotta hear slightly gunplay, slightly misogyny. I would like some cocaine raps. So you already know, J. Cole shouldn’t be actually my cup tea.”

Nonetheless, that is to not say the detest runs bone deep. “There’s some J. Cole songs I be jamming to,” says Desus. “I be like ‘who is that this?’ They be like ‘J. Cole,” and I be like…” He proceeds to reenact a disillusioned, barely defeated facial features. “That is aight. Play that new Blueface although!”
The pair proceed to segue into the sordid story 6ix9ine, with Mero predicting the Rainbow Surprise snitching on a worldwide degree. “He’d throw his grandma in jail,” he says, whereas Desus fers an analogous take. “I believe he noticed lots Regulation And Order so he thought they’d put him in witness safety…You could have a 69 tattooed in your face! Are you going to go to Scotsdale Arizona and begin over?”
