Desperado Orchestra’s “Outer Space” Evokes The Spirit Of American Roots Music

Desperado Orchestra has released new single, “Outer Space.” The spaced-out love song from one man band Desperado Orchestra evokes American music at its roots, grounded in the modern world. Whether that world is Earth or somewhere beyond remains to be seen.

  1. Lawson is the man behind the band. A multi-talented artist with an unstoppable drive to share and create, J Lawson embodies the soul of the blues, with the body of modern melodies, synths, and electronic music. His music draws from his own roots growing up in the American south, and his lyrics reflect the pursuit of that dream of success, which may often seem out of reach for those born into American poverty.

Lawson served in the military to pay for school, was deployed overseas, and returned to a nation in the midst of the Great Recession. Despite these bleak circumstances, or perhaps in spite of them, Lawson refused to accept less from anyone, including himself.

With this fierce spirit evoked by his music, J. Lawson inspires anyone who listens.
