J Lawson’s latest composition combines old school and modern instrumentals, creating glimmers of psych and accents of soul and blues. The synths lead the way as they intertwine with the vocals, both equally tugging at your heartstrings. The intricately executed guitar meshes perfectly with the soul-centric bass. The vocals hold everything down with a class of old school blues/soul foundation. Desperado Orchestra is surely working on making what’s old brand new and tasteful.
