Since she's reached superstar status, Cardi B has caught the attention tons major celebrities, but she was finally able to come face-to-face with a female MC icon.
While attending Warner Music Group's pre-Grammy party this week (Jan. 25), the Bronx native got to meet Missy Elliott, who has previously expressed her support Cardi over the success "Bodak Yellow."
While recording their encounter on Instagram, Cardi speaks in a teasing voice about meeting the veteran rapper and producer, stating how hype she is for the opportunity.
"I met Missy Elliott! I met Missy Elliott!" she exclaims. "Bitch, I'm hype. I don't give a fuck. So what? We hype as fuck, nigga."
While Missy doesn't say anything in the video, she does flash a smile while showing her amusement for Cardi's enthusiasm.
This isn't the first time that the "Bartier Cardi" hitmaker has expressed her fandom over another celebrity. Earlier this year, she was able to meet Beyoncé at Made in America in Philadelphia, Pa. after her set in front thousands fans. She's also had the chance to meet J. Cole, Jennifer Lopez and other major stars since she's climbed to the top the charts.
