Ben Baller recently found himself thwarted by his own beloved automobile.
Live by the Tesla, come undone by the Tesla. Such was the recent lesson learned by esteemed jeweler Ben Baller, who found himself living out a truly harrowing experience: being trapped in a Tesla. Though he has pressed a love for Elon Musk’s automobile in the past, it did not save Baller from falling victim to technology, despite Black Mirror having consistently warned us time and time again.
Baller took to Instagram to document his experience as a newfound prisoner, forced to watch while gas-fuelled cars drove past uninhibited. “I wish this was a f*cking joke. I’m locked inside my f*cking Tesla. I know I’ve been the Tesla fan, I’ve said so many good things about Tesla. But I’ve been locked in the car now for 37 minutes f*cking waiting for roadside assistance.”
Of course, Twitter’s audiences were hardly supportive. Instead sympathizing with Baller’s admittedly infuriating predicament, many seized an opportunity to display their wit. Bonus points to the user below for a well-placed Stephen King reference.
Yet Baller’s words did not fall flat. Upon hearing his tale, several Tesla owners raised an eyebrow in the direction Musk and his team, firing f a few questions their own. Though the voices haters can ten ring louder than those a satisfied customer, one has to wonder if this one will even reach Musk’s recording studio, where we can only assume he’s working on a zoological themed mixtape.
