50 Cent’s "For Life" Renewed For Second Season On ABC


50 Cent plans to shed light on the systemic injustices in the second season “For Life.”

50 Cent was once the biggest rapper in the world but these days, he’s aiming to be one the most powerful executives in Hollywood. Following the success  Power, he announced that he had patterned with ABC for the adaptation Isaac Wright Jr.’s story, For Life. As the first season gained steam throughout the winter-spring, Deadline reports that the show has been renewed for a second season.

For Life is a family and legal drama following Aaron Wallace who’s attempting to overturn a life sentence for a wrongful conviction. It’s loosely based on the life Isaac Wright Jr., though the story is timely in these current times. 50 Cent hit the ‘Gram to celebrate the news by vowing to bring these important stories to the bring screen.

“For Life just got renewed for season two by ABC! It’s more than just a show, it’s a fight for justice and we’re keeping the fight going. Isaac Wright Jr stood up to the system and won his freedom and now more than ever, we need to keep telling the story inspired by his life. Creator Hank Steinberg and his team writers are ready to continue exploring and exposing the flaws in the system which is so important now more than ever. I told you it would happen,” 50 captioned the show announcement.
