Farmington, CT – When 50 Cent isn’t clowning Omar Hardwick or Wendy Williams on Instagram it appears he is either consulting Birdman or raising millions for charity. On Monday (April 1), TMZ reports the rapper sold his massive 21-bedroom 25-bathroom Connecticut mansion for nearly $3 million.
Sources told TMZ the rap superstar will donate every penny from the sale the house to his charity, the G-Unit Foundation — an initiative providing grant funding to nonprit organizations specializing in investing in low-income communities.
According to the Hartford Courant, Fif bought the estate, which features nine kitchens, indoor and outdoor pools, basketball courts and loads more, for $4.1 million in 2004. He reportedly invested close to the tune $10 million into the gargantuan pad.
The property was first listed for $18.5 million in 2007, and with it being sold for a confirmed $2.9 million, he let it go for 84 percent less than the initial asking price.
Hartford Courant reports 50 claimed it cost $67,000 a month to maintain the property. Additionally, it shows the property tax on the mansion was $120,000 yearly. It doesn’t look like he is going to miss the insane crib much, though.
“I said I don’t want big estates any more, but I will push the limits in these buildings,” 50 captioned a crazy video a car rising through the floor what appears to be a condo.
Though Curtis did take a small loss on the final price tag the property, the G-Unit Foundation scored a major win.
