2 Chainz Shares Name of New Album on a Blimp

We've been getting reports that 2 Chainz has a new album on the way for a few months, and now the Atlanta rapper confirms the news by revealing the name his new project. But he didn't do it any old way. He decided to go all out and display the title on the side a blimp that took f from the San Bernardino, Calif., airport on Thursday (Feb. 15).

The upcoming release will be titled Rap or Go to the League. Tit expounded on the title in an Instagram post, saying it is a play on the old adage in the Black community that there are limited options out, similarly touched on by The Notorious B.I.G on the track "Juicy": "Either you selling crack rock, or you got a wicked jump shot."

The IG video shows the rapper's reaction to seeing the blimp for the first time. "We were one the few people who kind started the wave back in the Atlanta scene as far as billboards for hip-hop period, as far as it being a marketing tool," he says. "What other better marketing tool than a floating billboard."

It sounds like we will get a more serious side the rapper on the new project."With the height racial tensions across America I felt I should do my part in explaining some the brain washing formulas used in my community, this album not only touches on those who did succeed thru entertainment but those who didn't," he captioned the video. "Welcome to Rap or Go TO THE LEAGUE ! My 5th solo studio album and project that shows continued growth, success, and motivation which is playing a role in the shift the trap paradigm ✌?⛓ #ROGTTL."

Dos Links later formally announced the title during a performance at Def Jam's 2018 NBA All Star Weekend party on Friday (Feb. 16).

Confirmation the new album is coming fresh f the heels Titty Boi blessing the masses with the new EP, The Play Don't Care Who Makes It. Rap or Go to the League will be 2 Chainz's follow-up album to Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, which dropped last July.
