Kanye West Receives Cease & Desist Letter from Dr. Jan Adams

Dr. Jan Adams responds to Kanye West.

Over the weekend, West said he wanted to put Dr. Adams, who performed his mother Donda’s final surgery, on the cover his next album as an act forgiveness. Today, Adams replies with a 3-page open letter published by The Blast.

“Thank you for thinking me for the cover your next album. That is kind you,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, I have to decline at this time, and I ask that you cease and desist using my photo or any image me to promote your album or any your work.”

Adams, who performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction surgery on Donda a day before her 2007 passing, went on to note excerpts from the coroner’s report. It highlights alleged negligence her nurse, Kanye’s cousin Stephan Scoggins, following the surgery.

“Perhaps you should put your cousin’s picture on your next album,” he wrote. “Don’t put my picture out there and claim you are about love. Love deals with the truth.”

Kanye shared Adams’ letter on Twitter along with a message. “This is amazing,” he wrote. “Thank you so much for this connection brother. I can’t wait to sit with you and start healing.”

West seemed to indicate that this album would be called LOVE EVERYONE. In addition to his solo fering, Kanye and Kid Cudi are working on their joint album Kids See Ghost, due June 8.
