Music mogul JAY-Z might have to dig deep into his pocket to help a potential legal nightmare go away. New reports claim a past affiliate wants to be paid royalties from his 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt.
According to reports, a music veteran named Raynard “Ray Rae” Herbert is going the legal route to have Young Hov pay up. Herbert claims he helped JAY’s Roc-A-Fella secure a distribution deal in 1996 and ultimately had Hov agree to give him 1% RD sales.
Back in 2014, an original Reasonable Doubt tracklisting surfaced.
In 2013, JAY ranked his solo albums and put the classic debut atop the list.
In July 2013, JAY made a rare Twitter appearance and talked about his debut’s greatness.
