Beyoncé & JAY-Z, Nas Score Top 5 Debuts

Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s Love is on top the charts.

The Carters’ surprise album Everything Is Love, which was released mid-day on June 16 exclusively TIDAL, debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 123,000 units (70,000 in traditional sales).

On June 18, the album was made available through subscription tiers on other streaming services and to purchase through digital retailers including iTunes.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s previous solo albums, 2016’s LEMONADE and 2017’s 4:44, both opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

In the days after his tragic death on June 18, XXXTentacion sees a surge in sales. The late rapper’s album ?, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 in March, jumps 24-3 with 94,000 units. 2017’s 17 also climbs 60-7 with 55,000.

Six years since his last album, Nas returns with his 12th top 10 album, the Kanye West-produced Nasir, which debuts at No. 5 with 77,000 units (49,000 traditional). His previous effort, 2012’s Life Is Good, opened at No. 1 with 149,000 copies.

Christina Aguilera also reemerges in the top 10 with her new album Liberation, which opens at No. 6 with 68,000 units (62,000 in album sales). Her last album, 2012’s Lotus, debuted and peaked at No. 7.
