Certain things in life should never happen:
Steve Harvey should never give suit suggestions.
RG III should’ve never been given a podcast mic.
And a man with 12 children and six baby mamas should never give relationship advice.
And yet, here we are.
Nick Cannon is starting a relationship advice podcast.
You’ve read that right. The actor turned wearer of that turban-like hat thing is set to host Nick Cannon @ Night in which he will “…open up his personal DMs and answer written questions from listeners about love, sex, relationships and dating questions. Cannon will tape the show in front of a live audience in Los Angeles, and will also bring in topical experts and celebrity guests for each episode,” the Hollywood Reporter reports.
Cannon is first to make mention of his unique brand of dating and actually sees it as a plus since his relationships have been the subject of much clowning.
According to THR, “When it comes to his personal life, Nick has never shied away, unapologetically leaving the world curious about his views on dating, fatherhood and modern relationships. So, who better to offer advice?”
If the plan is to use Cannon as a cautionary tale, the podcast could have a Scared Straight vibe with Cannon yelling at teens not to follow his path while wearing his head dress. That could work.
Because President Trump didn’t issue a tariff on podcast mics, Cannon’s newest podcast in partnership with Wondery is set to premiere July 23, “with episodes on YouTube, Wondery+, and all podcast platforms. Cannon will also conduct man on the street-style interviews about relationship questions, and Anonymous @ Night, where Nick and his guests respond to anonymous sex and relationship questions,” the Hollywood Report notes.
If this new podcast venture doesn’t work out Cannon will be fine, as he’s the executive producer and host of Fox’s The Masked Singer and will be newest host for Fox’s Lego Masters.
“He is also the host and executive producer of We Playin’ Spades, a weekly card-playing podcast on Wondery, and saw his podcast Counsel Culture premiere on Prime Video in June 2024,” the Hollywood Reporter notes.
Cannon also created a show on Tubi, Nick Cannon’s Big Drive, which includes celebrity guests and automotive events.
