The drought is over.
Over two years since his last album, Yo Gotti returns with his 10th studio album Untrapped. In addition to the Lil Baby-assisted “Put a Date on It,” the 15 tracks include appearances from Rick Ross, Moneybagg Yo, and Estelle. Ty Dolla $ign and A Boogie wit da Hoodie join the CMG boss on “Like That,” while Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Uzi Vert appear on the previously-released “Pose.”
Untrapped marks the follow-up to 2017’s I Still Am, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
“I think a lot the things I’ve accomplished in the last year, year-and-a-half, and a lot the experiences, the things I’ve been dealing with, those are the messages on this album,” Gotti tells HollywoodLife.
The prison reform advocate also recently made headlines for his work in his community. He has filed a lawsuit, along with the philanthropic arm JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, against the Mississippi Department Corrections following violence and deaths at several Mississippi state prisons.
